This March, acclaimed French wildlife photographer Laurent Baheux, turned 50. His illustrious career has seen him photograph some of the most endangered species and get up-close and personal with some of the most dangerous, too. Baheux’s portfolio of high-contrast, black and white photographs of animals in their natural habitats is an example of art for a good cause, as through his art, he has contributed to some of the most influential environmental awareness campaigns for World Wildlife Fund and United National Environment Programme. On his birthday, which was on 27th March, Beheux took to Instagram to post a moving poem recalling his passion for the natural world, beginning, “a new day is breaking: dawn is gradually revealing its wonders.” Joyeux 50 ans from the Nicole Brachetti Peretti Collection!
